Our Next Meeting is August 27, 2022
Election and Installation of officers and more is on the agenda.
King Henry the VII offered many monasteries for sale during his reign and in memory of St. Thomas and his father, a member of the mercer's trade, the Worshipful Company of Mercers purchased it.
Destroyed in the Great Fire of London, all that now remains of the original buildings of the Church of St. Thomas is the recumbent statue of Christ, shown here, now at the entrance of the new, Member's Chapel.
